Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,

Thank you for helping us promote the love of reading this week.  We had so much fun everyday and loved seeing so many students joining in our theme days!  Thank you also for all the book donations for Liliana’s R.E.A.D. campaign.  Check out some photos below of her travels with Cooper throughout the school and stay tuned for the opening of our little library next week!  

Raffle Opportunities: Please remember to have your children bring in their reading bingo sheets Monday and also don’t forget to send pictures of your family reading to ptameadowside@gmail.com.  Thank you!  

Our HEART Coin Drive wrapped up this week. We raised a total of $1,496.72

1st Place: Mrs. Bellizzi with $323.78

2nd Place: Ms. Vagnini with $275.24

3rd Place: Ms. Aliberti with $210.25

District News: The participants in the People Empowering People (PEP) program will be conducting a Toasty Toes Sock Drive all month for the benefit of the Beth-El Center here in Milford.  Collection boxes will be placed at each school next week and you are encouraged to donate one (or more!) pair of new socks for the cause.  Here’s a FLIER that explains more.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Perform with Milford Students!

Milford Public Schools is excited to host our first ever Electrify Your Strings Concert featuring Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  This two day event for students will culminate in a concert at Parsons Auditorium on Friday, March 10 at 7:00.  Almost 300 string students in grades 5-12 will perform alongside Mark Wood and every attendee will have the opportunity to attend the meet and greet with Mark immediately following the concert.  Tickets can be purchased here for $14.  Tickets at the door will be $20.  Doors will open at 6:30PM and the event will start promptly at 7:00.  We hope to see you there!

Please remember that you can sign up to visit our specialists, counselors and special education teachers as well as our grade level teachers.  As in the fall, if you would like your conference to be virtual, please reach out directly to the staff member for their google meet link.

Kindergarten Registration reminder: 

We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024  school year will take place during February and March.   If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023.  You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services.  School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.

Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.  

Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.

If you need assistance with the registration portal,  please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.” 

We are excited for your children to come to our schools!  Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!
