A big thank you to our PTO and Barnes & Noble for the generous donations! Every classroom was gifted a set of books to add to their libraries. The teachers were so appreciative and the students always love new books.


Thank you to our AMAZING PTO for the wonderful crafts for Read Across America Week. Pre-K -Grade 2 students enjoyed making kindness bookmarks and wearing their silly Seuss hats. Students in grades 3-5 loved the color your own pencil cases.


JFK kicked off Read Across America Week with March Madness Book Brackets. Mrs. Soder had classes vote for their favorite book during their time in media. Each class voted until a champion was crowned. Sixteen books were entered but only 1 book won!


These second graders worked together to create their own landforms out of clay in the science lab.




First Grade Authors are WILD about writing! After working hard on their nonfiction writing, Ms. Collins' authors shared their published books during an Author Celebration!


Today we delivered autographed copies of Janet Lawlers's newest book "Oceans of Love" to our PK-2 classrooms. These books were donated by JFK PTO in support of her recent virtual author visit.


JFK celebrated World Read Aloud Day with a virtual author visit from Milford's own, Janet Lawler, reading crowns and read alouds from our JFK community!!!


Kindergarten takes the lead in phonics today by warming up with their letters and sounds!


First grade readers identified problem and solution in the book, Sneeze the Snowman. Then, created their own melted snowmen!


Grade 1 writers celebrating their small moment books around a campfire! Authors reflected on what they learned about details, dialogue and revision! Way to go Mrs. Collins' friends!
