Hello JFK Families,
I can’t believe this is the final week of school and therefore, our final newsletter! I can’t tell you how proud I am of our students for all they accomplished this year despite some of the challenges they faced. The students at JFK have been amazing and have grown so much academically, socially, and emotionally. I also wanted to thank our parent population for all your support as well. The teachers and I really appreciate all the kind words and encouragement that you have continually expressed and are so amazed by all you have done this year to strengthen the home-school connection! Thank you!!
Our 5th grade celebration, and first ever “clap out”, was a huge success! The students had a great time and really enjoyed a well deserved afternoon of fun activities! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who took the time to organize and set up the activities for our 5th grade students. A special thank you to Jasmine Fitzroy and the 5th Grade Committee for all their time, energy, and planning. There was so much behind the scenes work that made this event special and everything went so smoothly that they made it look easy! We appreciate your generosity!
We have one more day left, but I hope everyone has a safe, peaceful, and relaxing summer break!

Message from the Elementary Music Staff -
Hello from Brian Boots and John Burns, your instrumental music teachers.
Thank you for a great school year. We appreciate all the help and support from our principals this year and wanted to share the link to our new (improved) MPS Elementary Instrumental Music Website. This week, all 3rd grade classes were introduced to the band and string instruments for study in the 4th grade and communication was sent home. Registration has begun and will continue into next school year. If possible, we are requesting principals to include the link in their end-of-the year Friday newsletter to let parents know they can visit the site and register their kids for band or strings for next year.

We hope all is well and everyone has a great summer.
Thank you again for your support,
Virtual Art Show - The Milford Virtual Art Show is up and running! I'm so excited to showcase our students' wonderful work. They did such a great job throughout the school year and I hope that you all get a chance to check out what we've been working on in the art room!

Community Connection Center -In this week's CCC Newsletter you can read about the history of Father's Day from the Encyclopedia of Arkansas and you'll know who the "Mother of Father's Day" was.
Maybe you'll want to visit a park with your Dad by using the ParkConneCT program that offers reliable transportation within a 10 minute walk to one of our State Parks.
While you're visiting the parks, the information in the Old Farmer's Almanac article entitled, "How to tell the difference between poison oak and poison ivy", may help you avoid their painful itchiness. Whatever you do to celebrate Father's Day we hope that you have a great weekend!
Click here for this week's CCC Newsletter! The CCC website will continue to be updated with links to community resources throughout the summer!
Have a Safe & Healthy Summer! The CCC Newsletter will be back in the Fall!
