Specialist Spotlight - World Language
¡Hola from Spanish with Señorita Polansky!
It has been an awesome year of Spanish in grades K-3 at JFK! All grades are currently wrapping up our Healthy Life unit talking about different types of foods, expressing likes and dislikes and learning about foods from different countries around the world. In Kindergarten, we read “La Oruga Hambrienta” (The Hungry Caterpillar) and students colored and created their own “hungry caterpillars” to take home. In 1st grade, we discussed the meals we eat in a day and students drew their favorite foods that they love to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert! In 2nd and 3rd grade, students learned about the different types of tacos from Mexico and then got to draw their own taco (2nd grade) or create through Google Slides (3rd grade).
Thank you for all of your continued support of our Elementary World Language program. It has been a pleasure seeing each and every single student grow this past year. Warm wishes for a restful and fun summer!
Lost and Found - We have many items in the lost and found. All items will be donated in June prior to the end of the school year. Items will be out for the Luau tonight.
