The PTO is actively working to secure some virtual programming for our students in the coming months. We are so appreciative of everything they do for our staff and students!! Thank you!! More information to come shortly!
Speaking of PTO sponsored events…. FREE Virtual Family Game Night is one coming up next Friday at 6:30 pm! Don’t forget to register!!! I remember this event from last year and it was a ton of fun! If your child is out don’t forget to complete the form on PowerSchool and send a follow up note, email or doctor note to excuse the absence.
Masks
Students were sent home with three disposable 3 ply masks earlier this week. We have not acquired viable child size N95 masks. Using the 3-ply mask is optional (wearing a mask is still state-mandated in all Connecticut public schools).
COVID Vaccine upload
Parents may voluntarily provide a copy of their child’s COVID immunization card now by uploading it using our secure form here. This information will only be accessible by school nurses and school administration solely for the purpose of contact tracing and quarantining.
Lost & Found
There is still a LARGE amount of lost and found. Please have your child stop down and look if they are missing something. Lost & found can be located near Mr. Kee’s desk. Pictures are being posted on the PTO Facebook page too!
Water Bottles Reminder
Please remember to send in a reusable water bottle with your child. They have access to our water stations and can refill as necessary throughout the day.

Hello JFK Families and Friends!
As the months have gotten colder, we have been using our gym a whole bunch! It is wonderful to be able to use the whole space this year and allows us to do many safe activities!
In grades K-2 we have been working on hand-eye coordination stations and playing winter stations. Our hand-eye coordination stations worked on things like throwing, catching, and popping poppers. Now our winter stations are super appropriate since the snow has been falling! We have stations like sledding, ice skating, and snowball fight games. It has been a blast!
In grades 3-5 we have been putting our fitness skills to the test with our CT Physical Fitness Testing! We are just about done with all four parts: PACER (cardiovascular), push-ups (muscular endurance), curl-ups (muscular endurance) and sit and reach (flexibility). As the testing finishes up we are having fun playing our snowball fight game!
I am loving our growth in P.E. class this year! From our skills to our behavior, we are really making great progress!!!

JFK PTO will be hosting a virtual and FREE family game night on Friday, January 21st at 6:30PM. This FREE night of family fun will feature BINGO, dance parties, a scavenger hunt, JFK trivia and lots of FUN hosted by GameNight Social! You must pre-register before January 21st - be sure to register for a ticket for each student - siblings welcome too. Further details in the registration link - hope to see you there!

Spirit Wear Store is stocked!
We have updated our JFK PTO store with some stock items from our recent spirit wear sale. Ordered items will be sent home from school with your student or you can arrange for alternate pickup. We have adult and youth size t shirts, baseball tees, baseball hats, masks, bows and even a few hoodies!
