Picture Retake Day Picture retake day is scheduled for Friday, December 10th. This is for any student who was absent on picture day or if you were unhappy and would like to try again. Please remember to send in the full original picture packet that day to return to the photographer.

Water Bottles Reminder Please remember to send in a reusable water bottle with your child. They have access to our water stations and can refill as necessary throughout the day.

Thanksgiving Food Drive Update Thank you to all for your support and participation in this year's event. This project would not be successful without the support and generosity of the Milford community, especially the school system. This year's event collected 331 turkeys, fed over 300 Milford families and received over $4000.00 in donations that will be used to provide food to those in need. Without the support of Stop and Shop this year more than ever we relied on the school system for support and you all responded with donations that exceed our grandest expectations. Without a doubt we could not have met our goals without your support and generosity.. Clearly Milford is a small city with a big heart. Once again thank you.
Specialist Spotlight - Physical Education
Hello JFK Families and Friends!
I am Ms. Anastasiou and I have been teaching Physical Education in Milford for ten years and at JFK for seven! We are having a blast this year using our equipment as much as possible and spending lots of time learning outside or in our amazing gym space.
In grades K-2 we have just finished up a fun transformers unit. During transformers, they learned all about space bubbles and under control bodies. They were also able to be creative and silly while we played! Please ask your student(s) about their favorite transformer(s). They may have been one or built one! Now that transformers is over, we are having a blast playing turkey tag leading into break next week!
In grades 3-5 we have been working on fitness. Developing our knowledge of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance and flexibility has set students up to be able to create their own fitness games. We are currently finishing up those projects and presenting fitness games to classmates. I am loving watching students work as a team, show their fitness knowledge and express their creativity through this fitness game project! Please ask your student(s) about their fitness games at home!
I look forward to continuing our fun, mindfulness and learning throughout our school year!

Help JFK Give Back for the Holidays!
This time of year, it is especially important to give back to our community. To do that, JFK PTO is hosting a Pop’s Restaurant fundraiser on Weds, 12/8 benefitting Milford Food 2 Kids. When you order (dine-in, take-out or delivery!), mention JFK PTO, and 20% of the proceeds will go to help feed kids and families here in Milford. This is another way that we can all come together to take care of each other for the holidays.

A huge thank you to Jasmine Fitzroy and the 5th grade committee for expertly managing the distribution of goodies from this year’s pie sale! Thanks to their hard work, we sold over 550 items to support the 5th grade celebration and PTO activities throughout the year. Enjoy those treats!

Don’t forget that next week is another fun Spirit Day! Kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas to school the day before Thanksgiving break. The best learning is comfy learning!
