Hawk’s Herald

SOARing through the Week at JFK

Hello JFK Families,

Our school is sparkling and our staff has been busy setting up their classrooms for the start of the new school year. We are all eager for the students to arrive next week!  Ms. Koosa and I  are pleased to announce some additional new members of our Hawk-some JFK community of learners!  Mrs. Heather Ventura and Ms. Marissa Tauro will be joining Mrs. Laslett on our Kindergarten team. Mrs. Amanda Kemp and former JFK Intern, Ms. Kyra Lippert, will be joining Ms. Collins in Grade 1. We welcome Ms. Jaqueline Campbell as our school nurse.  Finally, we are pleased to share that Ms. Nicole Mackin (Ms. Nicole) will join Ms. Benedetti as our art teacher here at JFK on Mondays. Please take time to read this edition of the Hawk’s Herald carefully as it includes district and school information for the opening of school and provides a glimpse into the month ahead. You can expect to receive the Hawks Herald via email on Friday afternoons.  Be on the lookout!

I would also like to extend a special thanks to our JFK PTO for the two beautiful new wooden benches they generously purchased for the foyer of our school. We are so grateful for the support of our Hawk-some PTO in making our school shine!  One of the best ways that families can be involved and show support to our school community is by joining the PTO.  I hope many of our families and staff members will consider joining!  We welcome any and all participation!

That’s all for now, Hawk families!  We are bubbling with excitement to see our JFK learners next week and to SOAR into an amazing 23-24 school year!

In partnership,

Amy E. Rizzo
