Hello JFK Families!

It has been an absolute pleasure to be the Principal of JFK these past four years and to have the opportunity to work closely with the students,  families,  and staff in the JFK community. JFK is a great place to learn and grow and I know our students will continue to do great things!

I was in shock today by all the special treats, kind words,  emails,  and letters from students and families. It truly meant so much to me! Thank you for all your support and collaboration over the years and for welcoming me into the JFK family!

Thank you again for everything!

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Brennan

Hello JFK Families!

Thank you for welcoming me to the JFK community. It was a pleasure  to meet many of you at the School Dance and the Principal Meet and Greet.  Mr. Brennan and I have  spent a busy week together and I am prepared to lead JFK.  Mr. Brennan  will be available for me and the staff if needed.

I have met all of your children and am looking forward to getting to know them.  If you have any concerns or need support from me, please reach out to the office.

Enjoy the weekend!

In the Spotlight -  World Language

¡Hola from Señorita Polansky!

Wow- I can’t believe we are almost in the home stretch of the school year! Students across all grades have been doing exciting things in Spanish this year! Kindergarten is continuing to talk about their families and will end the year on everyone’s favorite topic- food! 1st grade is learning about different animals around the world and their habitats. 2nd graders are continuing to explore places in Milford, while also learning about and making comparisons with different neighborhoods around the world. Finally, 3rd and 4th grade are SO close to finishing our Mania Musical music bracket where we will soon find out which song takes the #1 spot!

Thank you all for your support of the Elementary World Language program!

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns at rpolansky@milforded.org.

Teacher Appreciation Week is Coming!

In a couple of weeks, we’ll celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with a number of fun activities for all our JFK staff. This year, we really want to make sure every staff member feels appreciated, so rather than purchasing individual gifts for all your child’s teachers, you can simply donate a gift card (around $10), and the PTO will take care of the rest!

If you do send one in, please send it in a sealed envelope with “JFK PTO” written on the outside. You can also email ptojfk@gmail.com with any questions, and thank you for helping make all our JFK staff feel the love!

The Spring Plant Sale - DEADLINE TODAY!

It’s time for beautiful Spring flowers! Don’t forget to order your 16” hanging baskets by 4/28. All students will again have a chance to shop our “plant sale” with their class on Friday, 5/12. Plants will  be $4 per 6-pack or $5 per

4" pot. If you expect your child to fully stock their own garden, please send in a small box to make sure all seedlings get home safely. See the flyer for more info!

Mark Your Calendars for the Yard Goats - 6/10!

We are so excited to be hosting a JFK families night at the Hartford Yard Goats baseball game on Saturday, June 10th! Game time is 6:10pm, and we’ve got a group of tickets reserved, so we’ll all be together. Check out the flyer for more information on how to get your tickets today! If you need a paper copy of the flyer, email us at ptojfk@gmail.com
