HMS FAMILIES:
It has been great to see all of our HMS students back in the cafeteria to sit and eat with classmates and friends after a two year hiatus. Getting back to more normal middle school experiences is just what the HMS learning community needed.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION -
We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will take place during February and March.
If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information is posted to the district website www.milforded.org.
You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”
Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2022, in order to register for Kindergarten.
Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.
If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”
We are excited for your children to come to our schools! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

Student Absences and Early Pick Up -
To report an absence, parents need to log into PowerSchool and click on “Forms” to enter an absence.
If you need to pick up your child early for an appointment, please come to the front door with your driver license as you will need to check in with the Greeter and sign out your child.
If the early pick-up is known prior to the start of school, please send in a note with your child in the morning to give to our Greeter, Mrs.Tilt, or email ktilt@milforded.org. Our Greeter will then give your child an early release pass to come to the lobby to make the pick up more efficient.
Conference Dates:
Wednesday, March 30 - 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Thursday, March 31 - 5:30 - 8:00 PM
Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 - Parent teacher virtual conferences. Students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM on these days.
Wednesday, April 6 - PTO Silver Sands Pizza Fundraiser (Silver Sands)
Friday, April 15 - No school - Good Friday.
Monday, April 18 - Friday, April 22- No school - Spring Recess.
Tuesday, March 29 - Trimester 2 grades will be visible for parents in PowerSchool.
