It’s Super Bowl weekend which means it’s time to stock up on some really yummy snack foods. If you are a buffalo wing fan, I hope you pre-ordered. If you make your own, better get the hot sauce soon as sauces are flying off the shelves and the supply chain is not helping with restocking in a timely manner.

Wear Pink and Red on Monday, Feb. 14th for American Heart Month! February is identified as American Heart Month by the American Heart Association. We will not be collecting donations.
HMS Students Begin Using Swipe Cards -
All students began using their new swipe card this week. So far the system has been working well.
The ‘touchless’ system makes easy work of processes that used to take some time.
Black History Month -
Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups. Black History Month began on February 1. Milford Public Schools continues our commitment to celebrating diversity and the unique gifts and experiences of our Milford Public Schools students, families, and staff that make our community so special. Our ongoing goal is to provide opportunities for all learners to see themselves within our curriculum. Earbuds -
As chromebooks continue to be utilized during instruction, students are encouraged to bring in their own earbuds or headphones to use with their chromebook.

Student Absences and Early Pick Up -
To report an absence, parents need to log into PowerSchool and click on “Forms” to enter an absence.
If you need to pick up your child early for an appointment, please come to the front door with your driver license as you will need to check in with the Greeter and sign out your child.
If the early pick-up is known prior to the start of school, please send in a note with your child in the morning to give to our Greeter, Mrs.Tilt, or email ktilt@milforded.org. Our Greeter will then give your child an early release pass to come to the lobby to make the pick up more efficient.

Wednesday, February 23 - Early release for students at 12:45 p.m. and professional learning for staff.
Wednesday, March 9 - No school for students and professional learning for staff
Wednesday, March 16 - Early release for students at 12:45 p.m. and professional learning for staff
Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 - Parent teacher virtual conferences. Students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM on these days. More detailed information will be forthcoming.
