Today marks Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine (STEM) Day #STEMDay. For those who teach, or aspire to work in one of those categories, we celebrate you!
It seems like we will have a crisp, Fall weekend to enjoy some outdoor family activities.

HMS Annual Veterans Day Celebration -
Another successful event for our HMS community.
Thank you to our veterans and their families for joining us today.
A huge shout out to Ms Napier for organizing and running this yearly event. It is an amazing experience for all.

18th Annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive -
Harborside Middle School is proud to host the 18th Annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive, sponsored by the Boy Scouts, from Friday, November 1 to Thursday, November 14.
We invite all students and families to contribute non-perishable canned and boxed goods to help those in need in our community. Please check expiration dates.
Last year, our amazing students collected nearly 2,000 items, with 6th grade leading the Drive at over 700 items!
Let’s aim to surpass that total this year!
The Spirit Club will be collecting and counting all donations after school on Thursday, November 14.
Let’s show our community the power of generosity—every item counts!
Empowering Smart Online Choices -
On Wednesday, November 13, HMS students will have the opportunity to hear from presenter Scott Driscoll on internet safety.
Two assemblies will be held.
A combined assembly for grades 7 and 8.
A grade 6 only assembly.
Topics covered range from the following;
