GOOD AFTERNOON HMS FAMILIES:

It’s time to start prepping the outfits and hairstyles for next Thursday’s Picture Day! We hope you have a pleasant weekend celebrating National Smile Day (Friday) and National Do Something Nice Day (Saturday).

HMS Annual Veterans Day Celebration - 

  • Each year HMS holds “Bring a Veteran to School Day” in November around Veterans Day.

Middle School Students Attending Foran Home Football Games - 

  • Please review the following information with your child(ren) that was passed along by Mr. Raucci, Athletic Director at Foran High School.

    • There are no noise makers or personal athletic balls allowed in games. Security will confiscate any of these that they see at the gate to get in. 

    • It is also important to note behavior at games. Students are there to support the Foran High School football team and/or band. 

    • To ensure safety, running around the stands and disruptive behavior will not be permitted at games. 

HMS Picture Day - 

  • HMS Student Pictures will be taken on Thursday, October 10.

  • To order your pictures go to mylifetouch.com and enter the ID: EVTCT64JB. 

Fall 2024 Conferences Sign Up Information:

  • Families can now access the online conference schedule system. See below for additional information.

  • Access to the online system -

    • Go to the HMS website and click on  “Sign Up Now” and follow the directions. 

    • Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications. 

  • Scheduling Reminder - 

    • Due to limited slots available per teacher, it is not possible for every parent/guardian to meet with every one of their child’s teachers. Therefore, parents/guardians are asked to limit their selection to two core teachers per student (Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science,Spanish, or French) and three Unified Arts teachers (Phys. Ed., Art, Music, Tech Ed, and Health). 

    • If parents/guardians wish to meet with additional core/unified art teachers or the team as a whole please contact the specific teacher or team to set up a mutually agreed upon time, during the school day, outside of the conference dates to meet. 

    • Parents/guardians can also schedule meetings with the guidance counselor, social worker, psychologist, speech and language, and special education teachers using this system.

    • Conference dates and times.-

      • Tuesday, October 15th  5:30-8:00 p.m. 

      • Wednesday, October 16th  1:05-3:05 p.m

PTO Membership - 

Drama Club Evening at Silver Sands - 

  • Dine in, take out, have some food delivered, and save yourself some time for a delicious meal at Silver Sands Pizza on October 17th:

HMS Drama Club -

  • Save the Date: The play will be held at Jonathan Law Auditorium on Saturday, April 5 at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

  • This year’s play is Alice in Wonderland Jr.  

Important Dates! 

  • Wednesday, October 9 - Early release for staff professional development. Students are dismissed at 12:45 PM.

  • Thursday, October 17 - All day fundraiser for Drama Club sponsored by Silver Sands Pizza. Eat in and take out.  More information above.

  • Monday, October 14 - HMS Clubs start.
