GOOD AFTERNOON HMS FAMILIES:
Today is the first edition of our HMS Friday Update for the school year. Staff and students hit the ground running these first few days! As we head into the holiday weekend, I hope everyone is able to relax and enjoy the time with family and friends. It appears that this weekend's weather will be warmer with more humidity and possible showers overnight Saturday. For those of you that follow college football, this weekend has several key match-ups that could impact the new 12 team playoffs.

PTO -
The first PTO meeting will be on Wednesday, September 11 at 7:00 PM at HMS.
HMS Drama Club -
If any student would like to join the drama club this year, a mandatory meeting for students and parents/guardians is happening on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 PM in the HMS cafeteria.

School Based Clubs -
Clubs will run this year from Monday, October 14 through Thursday, May 8.

School Schedule -
This year’s schedule is set up with 8 days (A-H). Schedule
There are 6 time blocks each day, not including homeroom. Students attend 6 periods/classes each day.
Time blocks are different then periods. Periods may be in different time blocks depending on the letter day.
Important Dates!
Monday, September 2- No school in observance of Labor Day.
Wednesday, September 18 - Early release for staff professional development. Students are dismissed at 12:45 PM.
Tuesday, September 24 - Open House from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. More information to follow.
Thursday, October 3 - No school in observance of Rosh Hashanah..
Wednesday, October 9 - Early release for staff professional development. Students are dismissed at 12:45 PM.
