HMS News

GOOD AFTERNOON HMS FAMILIES:

As we enter the last weekend in April I keep reminding myself that the weather will become warmer and more Spring-like as we go into May. I for one am looking forward to warmer days and nights.

In case you missed it last night, the local Football teams took steps to improve their team as the NFL held its 2024 Draft . The Pat’s selected their quarterback for the future, Drake Maye, while the Giants added a speedy wide receiver in Malik Nabers and the Jets bolstered their offensive line by selecting Penn States’ tackle Olu Fashanu.

Please take a moment to review a few important updates and reminders.

Teacher Appreciation Week - May 6 - May 10

  • The HMS PTO is looking for your help to celebrate the HMS Staff during this appreciation week.

  • Please click HMS PTO to see how you can help the PTO celebrate the HMS Staff.

Drop-off/Pick-up area -

  • Please know that we recently placed a “Student Pick-up/Drop-off Begins Here” sign up at the top loop.

  • Parents/Guardians are asked to pull up as close to the sign as possible before having their child(ren) exit the vehicle. When parents/guardians/family members are not moving up, the street gets backed up and causes traffic at the intersection.

  • As a reminder, the bus loop directly in front of the school is to be used only for buses between 7:40 AM and 8:00 AM.

    • Students are not to be dropped off using the bus loop prior to 8:00 AM.

    • Temporary exceptions will be made on an emergency basis and cleared through the nurse’s office.

MPS Online Library Catalog (Destiny Discover) -

  • Parents/Guardians can now access the district's Online Library Catalog using Destiny Discover.
