HMS News

GOOD AFTERNOON HMS FAMILIES:

This week’s weather was definitely strange. The days started off cool and then cooler temperatures with smoke residue from Canada blanketed the area. Today’s weather was looking better as there was sunshine and spotted clouds. That was until a mid-day rain storm started right as grade 7 students were entering the building from recess and then the sun came back out. At the moment, the weekend forecast is still uncertain. What is certain is that the Mets are in dire need of a closer. The Amazing Mets had the lead in each of their three games against the Braves for the last three days, and they pulled defeat from the jaws of victory. As for the Yankees, their return to the Bronx from the West Coast hasn’t been stellar as they dropped two of three games to the White Sox. As for our northern team, Boston is coming to the Bronx to play three games this weekend, and they too are coming off a losing streak to the Guardians. Whichever team you follow, I hope their fortunes turn around soon.
