GOOD AFTERNOON HMS FAMILIES:
I want to thank all of our current, former, and future HMS families for their continued support of our school and district. As you may have heard, the Board of Alderman reinstated funds back to the BOE budget. It was not the full amount cut by the Board of Finance, but what it did do was prevent a school (most likely HMS) from closing. Through this lengthy and back and forth process I am reminded of the Rocky quote, "It ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done." 🥊 HMS came out on top last night due to a lot of work by our community and BOE. THANK YOU AGAIN!!

HMS Clubs Ending -
The last day for after school clubs was Thursday, May 11.
There will be no late buses after this date.
Grade 8 NGSS Testing is Monday, May 15.
Students are also asked to come to school with headphones or earbuds

Wednesday, May 17 - Early dismissal for staff professional learning. Students are dismissed at 12:45 PM.
Thursday, May 18 - Lip Sync Battle, 6:00 PM, HMS gym. Admission $3.00/person.
Wednesday, May 24 - Chorus concert at 6:30 at Foran.
Thursday May 25 - Grade 7 classes at the Audubon in Milford.
Friday, May 26 - Grade 7 classes at the Audubon in Milford.
Tuesday, May 30 - Grade 7 classes at the Audubon in Milford.
Wednesday, May 31 - District wide track meet at Law.
Thursday, June 1 - Grade 8 Dinner Dance at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange.
Wednesday, June 7 - Holiday Hill trip for Grade 8 students.
Friday, June 9 - Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony at 5:00 PM at Parsons Complex Auditorium.
Monday, June 12 - Holly Rock Quiz show for all grades.
Wednesday, June 14 - Tentative last day of school for students.
