GRADUATION EXPENSES: 

 A date has not yet been set for graduation. The Board of Education will determine the date in April.  As in past years, students will be required to pay $40 to cover the costs of graduation expenses, which includes cap, gown, and diploma cover. Please pay online at https://www.milforded.org/o/fhs/page/foran-high-school-dues-for-senior-graduation-expenses. If you would prefer, you may pay by check made payable to Foran High School, or pay with cash.  Checks or cash can be dropped off to Mrs. Carino or  Mrs. Golebiewski in the main office.

Sophomore Class Fundraiser

Class of 2025 Families,

 The sophomore class at Foran High School is having a fundraiser with Munson's Chocolates! Please consider supporting the Class of 2025 by purchasing some delicious treats just in time for the holidays!

 Fill out the form using this link Munson's Chocolates Fundraiser Class of 2025. Payment in full is due no later than December 5th! Cash or check made out to Foran High School can be brought to the Main Office or Room 305.

This year's Key Club Plant Sale Fundraiser helps us raise money for our Senior Scholarship as well as COPI (Children of Peace International) . We are joining efforts with other local & international Key Clubs to help build a dormitory for a school in Vietnam.

Plants will be ready to pick up on Dec. 9 between 2:20-3:00 on the first floor across from the gym. (Fitness Studio)

In Mr. Hair’s PE- 1 classes, students finished up speedball. They focused on play design as well the combination of multiple sports. In Mr. Hair’s nutrition class, students presented on how food influences them in four different domains. Great week Foran! 

 

 

Dr. Esposito, Dr. Davis and the entire team at the Milford Vascular Institute welcomed Foran's Medical Terminology students to their office this week for a field trip. A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Esposito and the entire team for an awesome experience.


Bakeshop ended our custard and dairy unit with an impressive cheesecake. They prepared a cheesecake with a vanilla cookie crust, and raspberry chocolate swirl.  A well deserved A + for everyone. 

 



Students in Latin classes made Thanksgiving  decorations using Latin vocabulary to express that for which they are thankful.

Students in Latin I are presenting their projects on ancient Roman and Greek mythology



Thank you to the NY Federal Reserve for visiting AP Macro!

This week students in the Model United Nations Class participated in a speed dating activity to prepare for their conference this weekend. The class, along with students from Law, will be attending the University of New Haven conference this upcoming Saturday for their first out of the classroom experience! 


Mr Connors Chemistry and Earth Systems classes performed Flame Test Lab in identifying metals by the different color flames they made. 

 


AP Bio classes learning about cellular respiration and photosynthesis by drawing it out on the lab tables.


 


 


 



Advanced Studio artists explore painting with coffee! Stay tuned for the finished products.




National Honor Society

The National Honor Society will hold a mandatory induction ceremony practice meeting on Monday, December 5th at 2:00 pm in the auditorium.  Members being inducted must be in attendance for this meeting.  Please see Mrs. DeLoma or Mr. Tupka with any questions.


Key Club

A friendly reminder that the Key Club will now be meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesdays.


Creative Writing Club

Creative Writing Club will meet on Monday, December 5th in Room 264.  Please bring something that you're writing to the meeting to get some peer feedback.  New members are welcome. See Mrs. O'Keefe with any questions.

 

Japan Club

Japan Club will be meeting on Monday, December 5th, after school in Room 206. We will be making nengajo - New Year's Cards. All are welcome!

 

Forever Friends

Attention Forever Friends! Join us on Wednesday, December 14th, for a holiday movie get together! The meeting will be in room 365 from 2-3:30pm. We hope to see you there.


Mane Stage Player

Auditions for the Mane Stage Player productions of Legally Blonde will take place after school next week on Monday December 5th and Tuesday December 6th. Sign ups are outside room 116 in the music wing. No prior theater experience is necessary.  For more information about auditioning please contact Mr. Stammen.
