Advanced Photography students took a trip to Morningside. Last Friday we spent some time working on-location with natural lighting and some of Mother Nature’s wonders.  We didn’t get too many big waves to really be able to work with shutter speed, however, we did get to work with light, shadows, leading lines, and composition.  Here are some of the images from our adventure as well as some photographs captured by Jace Flanagan- Bonilla, Taylor Collins, Chloe Marchesseault, and Alex Stay.

Intro to Photography students learned how to incorporate leading lines into their images. Leading lines are a compositional technique where human-made or natural lines lead the viewer's eyes through a photograph to the subject or the heart of the image. The “heart” of the image is called the focal point. Enjoy these examples created by Tony Aspras, Kaitlin Dobkowski, Olivia Schaible, Adrianne Shields.
