Football
The Foran Football team won over Lyman Hall 35-7 on Friday night. All three phases of the game offense, defense, and special teams played well and contributed to the big win. On offense the O-line (Cody Mainville, "Boots' ' Payne, Luke Cruz, Fernando Quieroz, and Aidan Grant) opened up huge holes helping Matt Miller to go over 100 yards rushing with 3 TD's. Defensively, the Lion's forced turnovers, Jimmy Cobain, Shaun Turner, and Josh Smith recorded interceptions. Aidan Grant for the second week in a row recorded at least one sack as part of an aggressive D Line. The Lions take on East Cathloic in Manchester on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
Volleyball
The girls volleyball team opened up the season with a 3-0 victory against Lyman Hall, Haley Stroffolino had 25 digs and 3 aces and Chloe Nittoly had 25 assists and 5 aces. We unfortunately lost against Guilford, but we are starting off the season strong with a 1-1 start.
Swimming & Diving
Girls Swim & Dive had great competitions against Daniel Hand and North Haven High Schools. Although the lions did not come away with a win, the girls continued to have fast swims and clean dives, leading to a great deal of best times and dives! Against Daniel Hand the 200 Medley Relay team of Ellen Pan (11), Erin Morton (10), Kaleigh Morton (12), and Alexa White (9) earned first place with a time of 2:05.04. Sophomore Erin Morton also earned first place in both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke, while Freshman Chloe Wardman earned first in the 100 Backstroke. Against North Haven the lions had a number of great dives and swims. Junior Ellen Pan and Senior Kaleigh Morton both came away with first place finishes in their events. Senior Sam Mauro had a great swim in the 500 freestyle stepping outside of her comfort zone to swim an important race for her team! Senior Divers Riley Grunow, Kaitlin Dobkowski, and Gabby Ward also earned the team valuable points to make it a very close competition between the two teams.
