Congratulations, Class of 2022 Seniors from School Counseling!!
All seniors must complete a School Counseling Graduation Survey in Naviance which indicates post-graduate plans, including where you will be attending school after graduation (if applicable), military, employment, gap year, etc. All students are asked to complete this survey. Please click on the attachment for the instructions. The survey should take about 2 minutes to complete.
If you are attending a trade school or four year college or university after graduation, a final transcript indicating the graduation date will automatically be sent to the school you chose in your survey.
If you are attending a community college in Connecticut, a transcript will be sent to the student's milforded email address in late June/early July so they can upload it to their student account.
If you do not complete the survey, we will not know where to send your transcript once you graduate.
Final transcripts will be sent to colleges/post grad institutions in late June/early July. If your information changes between now and then, please contact Mrs. Skuches in School Counseling at kskuches@milforded.org
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Skuches at kskuches@milforded.org

AP Art & Design Students Finished Their Portfolios
After a year of hard work, last Friday AP Art & Design students finished the final preparation of their portfolio submission for the College Board. Each student prepared an extensive portfolio of 15 pieces grounded in a sustained investigation of an individual inquiry, 5 pieces that demonstrate exceptional quality, and their written commentary. Their works are off to Salt Lake City, Utah where they will be evaluated alongside their digital submission of their portfolios. While the digital submission can be stressful, the physical submission can be emotional since these artists are packing up their best works to be shipped halfway across the country. Congratulations to all the AP artists, be proud of your accomplishments!
Sometimes, an image is more beautiful if some parts of it are softly out-of-focus. An image can have a huge impact if the focus is “shallow”. A shallow focus means the background is blurred while only the subject stays in focus. Your depth of field will be shallow when using a wide aperture. This means setting your f-stop to a small number. Here are images specifically created with a shallow depth of field created by digital photography students Katelyn Ciesluk, Ashley Hoydilla, Caroline Leszko, and Lila Rothbard,
Here are some works of art from Tuana Gonul that were submitted to the College Board for the AP 3D Studio Art portfolio exam from Ms. Plude’s class. The clothing collection she created investigates the embodiment of what it is like for an immigrant coming to America to hopefully experience the idyllic “ American Dream”
