Congratulations to Jeremy Queiroz, JAF Class of 2022, for an Honorable Mention distinction in DLC’s 32nd Annual Erica Grossman High School Visual Arts Contest.

Since 1990, tens of thousands of high school students have participated in Donate Life Connecticut’s Annual Visual Arts Contest. This year DLC received entries from 28 Connecticut high schools with a record breaking number of entries that included drawings, paintings, photographs and videos.

Congrats, Jeremy!

Donate Life Connecticut (DLC) is a volunteer-run coalition dedicated to educating the public about the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation. There are over 100,000 patients in the United States waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Donated tissue prevents infection in burn victims, replaces bone devastated by cancer or injury, and restores sight to the blind. One registered donor can save and improve the lives of more than 75 people!

Baseball

Baseball played East Haven. Joe Gaetano threw out a runner at home plate on a flyball, creating a 9-2 double play to keep the score tied at 0. He later hit a solo homerun to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. In the top of the ninth inning, with the score tired at 1-1, Joe hit his second home run of the day. A two run monster that would provide the eventual 3-2 win for the Lions.

The Lions dropped a tough decision to ND-WH this Wednesday. Offensively the Lions had hits by Dean Ross, Brian Massey, Jack D'Avignon, and Brandon Payne. We return to action this Saturday at Jonathan Law. 3:00 start.
