Digital Photography students are learning about exposure, specifically aperture. Aperture is the size of the lens opening and it controls how much light enters the lens through the size of this opening. However, aperture does more than just control the amount of light entering the lens, it affects the depth of field in the image. In these images, students are using a wide open aperture to isolate the focal point with a shallow depth of field. This is a great technique to place all the emphasis on your intended subject. Did you know that fancy new iPhones can create this effect too. Look for camera settings that allow apertures of f/1.6, f/2.0, f/4. Student images were created by:Isabella Fallon, Dayana Kismetova, Elliot Lyons, Chloe Marchesseault, Nando Queiroz, Connor Stafford
