Students in Mrs. O'Keefe's and Ms. DePalma's classes are reading The Crucible by Arthur Miller and looking at Puritan society. Students read an excerpt from Jonathan Edward's sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" and looked at the figurative language. They showed their learning using posters.
Advanced Photography II looked more like a science lab than an art room last week. Students were capturing abstract images of the interactions of food coloring, milk, oil and water, and dish soap. When liquid dish soap is added to milk with drops of food coloring suspended on the surface, the soap reduces the surface tension of the milk and reacts with the fat in the milk. This interaction causes the fat particles in the milk to move and create swirls of color. Hopefully students will be as excited to use dish soap to help wash the Thanksgiving Day dishes as they were to use it in Photo class!

Students in Mrs. Plude’s Art for Seniors classes are working on their dominant color scheme paintings. All of the colors they are using for their paintings are only being mixed from the three primary colors, black and white.
In Mr. Doolings Anthropology class, students put together a board game called "Hominid Survival" highlighting the different hominid species and their journey around the world. Students were responsible for creating the board, scenario cards and character profiles. Then on Tuesday in class, we were able to get in groups and play the game!

Virtual College Fair
Foran and Law will be hosting a combined virtual career fair December 7-9th. Many programs will be represented such as manufacturing, automotive, hairdressing, pharmacy tech, nursing, radiology, and fire safety. Girls Basketball
Attention Girls Basketball: If any girls are interested in joining the Girls Basketball Team, please send an email to Coach Asmussen (rasmussen@milforded.org) or Ms. Springsteen (aspringsteen@milforded.org) to sign up and receive important information regarding pre-season workouts and forms that need to be completed. Conditioning has started on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30 in the Gym.
Wrestling
The first practice for the Foran High Wrestling team will be next Monday, November 29th Meet immediately after school in room 307. No experience needed. No tryouts or cuts. Come and be part of the team!
Indoor Track
Attention Indoor Track: If any students are interested in joining the Foran Indoor Track Team, please send an email to Coach Jambor (pjambor@milforded.org) to sign up and receive important information regarding pre-season workouts, forms that need to be completed and general information about the sport.
The Giving Table Club
The Giving Table prepared a meal package for the Milford Hospital ER Staff, as a thank you for all of their dedication and care. The ER staff were very excited and appreciative with this meal of gratitude. We prepared corn chowder, vegetable bean soup, and a hearty salad accompanied with rolls. Thank you to Big Y of Milford for their gift card donation, and paper products provided by Seeley's Deli, to support this giving event.
Bible Club

Comedy Club
Are you or someone you know interested in writing, or performing? Are you or someone you know funny? If so, the Foran Comedy Club is for you! We meet every other week on Thursdays. Join us after school in room 258 on Thursday, December 2nd to see what we’re all about!
SENIOR PARENT & FAMILY AD
Congratulations on reaching this momentous stage in your child's high school years! Have you been looking for a creative way to tell your senior "I love you" and "I'm proud of you!" as they wrap up their high school career? If so, how about purchasing a Senior Parent and Family Ad in the yearbook?
To help you celebrate this milestone, the yearbook staff is now accepting orders for Senior Parent and Family Ads to be placed in the yearbook. These ads give you the opportunity to express your love, pride, and congratulations to the entire school!
In order to purchase, you must build your ad for your senior online with our yearbook company, Jostens at www.jostens.com/yearbookads.
You will need to pay, create, and submit the ad online. This allows you to submit pictures, text, and design online; you don't have to mail anything in or wait for your pictures to be returned to you! Begin by going to www.jostens.com/yearbookads and simply follow their instructions!
In order to guarantee a space for your student's ad in the yearbook, submissions must be made by
December 17th.
Senior Ads were a large part of my own high school experience and I loved seeing childhood photos of myself and my classmates in my own yearbook, so please consider adding your student's memories to this wonderful tradition at Foran!
