ESMS

Dear ESMS Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Believe it or not we are halfway through the school year already. This is the perfect opportunity to check in with your child on their goals, how they are progressing, and how we can best support them in meeting those goals. We know how hard our kids are working and it continues to be an absolute joy to work with and be with your children each and every day.

ATTENTION STRINGS PARENTS! On Monday, January 22, your child's string teacher emailed an important communication about an upcoming concert with musician, Mark Wood.  Please be sure to review the letter and complete the t-shirt order form by February 3.  As a reminder, parents are able to order tickets for this event ahead of the public (link is included in the letter).  It is encouraged that tickets are ordered early as we anticipate a large response for this event once it is opened to the public.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your child's string teacher.

SAY SOMETHING: On Thursday, students in grade 8 will experience Say Something, a virtual training session from Sandy Hook Promise. Say Something empowers students to grow a community of upstanders that looks out for the safety of their communities. Please click here for additional information.

SCHOOL DANCE: We are working with a few awesome students in planning a school dance - how exciting for our kids! The date of the school dance is Friday, February 10, 6:00-8:00 in the ESMS Gym for only ESMS students. Click here to access the permission slip. This is due back by Thursday, February 3rd, 2:45pm.

YEARBOOK: It's Yearbook time! Please use this link to order your child's copy of the 2022-2023 East Shore Yearbook. You can search by town or use ID code 6667423.

PTA: If you would like to join the ESMS PTA please click here to access the membership form or click here to join or donate online. GRADE 8 FAMILIES: Anyone interested in joining the grade 8 PTA committee? Please reach out to Mrs. Mirmina at janemirmina@gmail.com

DOLPHIN DOLLARS: At ESMS we are proud of our students for following our value system by being accountable, staying respectful and being safe.  To reward our students for this exemplary behavior we have implemented our Dolphin Dollar system which students can use to purchase items at our ESMS school store.  In an effort to fully stock our school store, in conjunction with our AMAZING PTA, we are asking families to consider making a contribution.  Click here for more information and a list of items you can donate.  Thank you as always for your continued generosity and support!

Paying for Meals to Resume on Monday, Jan. 9th: Click here for more information from the MPS Food Services department.

One of the best ways to stay connected and see what is happening in the classroom is through Twitter, Insta or FB. We try our best to capture as much of our kiddos as we can throughout the day. Please follow us! Click on below icons to access ESMS Instagram (IG), FaceBook (FB), and Twitter accounts:
