Dear ESMS Families,
What an awesome week at ESMS. Check us out on Twitter and Facebook. You will see how our staff and students all wore Orange on Monday to show our support against bullying and to encourage kindness, acceptance and inclusivity! The outpouring of support was INCREDIBLE! Thank you to all of our ESMS families who joined us for PTA Tuesday night. We are grateful for the generosity, partnership and support of our ESMS families.
Just a reminder there is no school for all students on Tuesday, November 8 as our staff engage in professional learning across the district.
VETERANS DAY: ESMS proudly presents Take a Veteran to School Day. In honor of Veterans Day, ESMS students and staff would like to invite our family and friends who are veterans to visit with the ESMS learning community on Friday, November 11 from 8:30-10:15 am. Our veteran guests will attend a ceremony and then share their experiences of patriotic and military service with a small group of students. If you have a veteran family member who would like to attend please click here to access our Veterans Day flyer which can be completed and submitted to your student’s Social Studies teacher by Tuesday, November 1. The PTA would also like to offer refreshments for the Veterans. If you would like to donate, please sign up here.
YELLOW OUT DAY: ESMS will be hosting a spirit day to raise money for Diabetes on 11/14/22. All are invited to donate $1 to wear yellow in support of the National Diabetes Society. Please consider supporting this cause. View the flyer here.

THANKS FOR GIVING SCOUTS ANNUAL FOOD COLLECTION: It's that time of year again - the Thanks For Giving Scouts Annual Food Collection drive is here. The need in our community is always great and again this year, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will conduct the annual food collection at our schools. Over the past couple of COVID years, the drive was altered to a contactless one-day event. This year, we will return to the conventional food drive over a two week period with collection boxes being set up in our schools. The collection boxes were dropped off at the schools the week of October 31st. You are encouraged to bring in a canned or shelf-stable item and place it in the collection box at any time up until Friday, November 11th. Click here for more information!
PTA: The PTA is hosting a Gourmet Apples Fundraiser. Click here to view the brochure and order form. This information will come home today in your child’s backpack today as well. One of the PTA goals this year is to fund as much of the field trip costs as possible. You can help us reach our goal by signing up for our new givebacks program, where 25,000 local and national businesses will donate to our PTA when you shop with them. Please click here for additional information. If you would like to join the ESMS PTA please click here to access the membership form or click here to join or donate online. ESMS PANCAKE BREAKFAST: How exciting! Please join us on Sunday, November 13th for a pancake breakfast to raise funds for the ESMS 8th grade dinner dance. You can find more information here. DOLPHIN DOLLARS: At ESMS we are proud of our students for following our value system by being accountable, staying respectful and being safe. To reward our students for this exemplary behavior we have implemented our Dolphin Dollar system which students can use to purchase items at our ESMS school store. In an effort to fully stock our school store, in conjunction with our AMAZING PTA, we are asking families to consider making a contribution. Click here for more information and a list of items you can donate. Thank you as always for your continued generosity and support!
One of the best ways to stay connected and see what is happening in the classroom is through Twitter, Insta or FB. We try our best to capture as much of our kiddos as we can throughout the day.
