Dear ESMS Families,

Happy Friday - another great week at ESMS! Despite the challenges of COVID our students continue to exemplify the ESMS Value System of respect, accountability, and safety. In addition, our students engage in high quality instruction in the classroom and our after school clubs and activities are up and running!

Thank you to all of our awesome ESMS families who came out to support us at CHIPOTLE this past Tuesday night. The PTA made about $800.00. We have the BEST families and appreciate your generosity and support. I know I loved having the night off from cooking!

Just a reminder we have a three day weekend as there is no school Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Happy Martin Luther King Day to everyone!

Ski club will be postponed from our original start date of January 20th to a new start date of February 3rd. We will confirm as the date gets closer.

ESMS grade 7 students are organizing a Hygiene Drive for the Homeless that will take place January 18  - January 27. Donation boxes will be located in the main lobby. Click here to view the ESMS Hygiene Drive flyer with a list of items that are being accepted. We thank you all in advance for your generosity and continued support!

We sent home communication on Tuesday regarding student drop off and pick up - thank YOU to our awesome families who are following these reminders to make sure all are safe! For Drop-Off and Pick-Up, please follow these steps:

  • Use the Seabreeze Avenue side of the school. This is the Drop-Off/Pick-Up area for all vehicles. Only School Buses are permitted in the main driveway on Chapel Street during Drop-Off and Pick-Up times.

  • ALWAYS enter and exit the parking lot by taking a RIGHT HAND turn. Please avoid taking left hand turns as it adds to the congestion and increases the dangers for students and families.

  • Please pick-up your children in the Seabreeze lot. Avoid parking on Seabreeze Ave to have students walk to your cars.

  • Please avoid pulling in the lane between parked cars to let your child out of the car.

  • Please PULL ALL THE WAY UP, as far as you possibly can and have your student(s) exit the car on the passenger side of the vehicle. We are no longer having families stop and drop at the child’s grade level entrance.

ESMS PTA: Thank you to the families who attended the PTA meeting this past Tuesday night. Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 1. Click here to access the 21-22 PTA Membership Form and click here to access PTA meeting dates. Hope to see you all there!

If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s team leader, teacher, and of course, always feel free to call or email me anytime at scarlson@milforded.org or Mr. Piselli at dpiselli@milforded.org, or by phone at 203-783-3559.

Thanks so much for your continued understanding, communication, and support. We want, need, and value your involvement, partnership, and support in your child’s education!
