Dear ESMS Families,
Happy Friday. It was another very busy week here at ESMS - we are excited to report that our ESMS live morning announcements are up and running and our studio is incredible. Also, after school clubs started this past Monday so our hallways were buzzing after hours and the kids were so excited to be involved in yearbook, knitting, intramurals, anime, and so much more.
Thank you to all of our ESMS families for donating to our GET YOUR PINK ON breast cancer awareness day - we raised over $200.00. It was a wonderful day, even more special since we had a visit from the pink patrol police car, courtesy of Officer Loschiavo and the Milford Police Department.
Our kids were also practicing how to open their lockers and are ready for Monday, November 1 to be able to hang up coats, lock up backpacks, phones, lunches and anything else that might make moving from class to class even easier now! I think they are more excited about decorating their locker. We are working with the kids and continue to remind them that while having access to lockers we will still be following social distancing protocol and guidelines.
Next week is a four day school week for your children as our adult learners engage in professional development on Tuesday, November 2. Therefore, there is no school for our students on Tuesday, November 2.
ESMS PTA: Click here to access the 21-22 PTA Membership Form and click here to access PTA meeting dates. Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, November 9 - hope to see you all there!
Ski Club Info - ESMS Virtual Family Meeting, Tuesday, Nov 9 (following our awesome PTA meeting) at 7:00 pm. Click here for additional info.
Picture Retake: If your child was absent for picture day or is not happy with their photo, picture retakes are on Wednesday, November 10.
Thanks For Giving Scouts Annual Food Collection - Please help ESMS collect cans and non-perishable food items to donate to our local scouts of Milford (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Ventures) 16th Annual Food Drive.
Donated items are being collected on Friday, November 12.
To minimize the handling of donations, boxes will be positioned outside the main entrance on Chapel Street and at the parent drop off entrances on Seabreeze Avenue.
Boxes will be clearly marked with signs that say, “DROP FOOD DONATIONS HERE."
Students can bring their food donations to school and drop them in the collection boxes before entering the building.
If you do not follow us on Twitter please be sure to do so - this is a great way to see what is going on and exciting happenings at ESMS.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s team leader, teacher, and of course, always feel free to call or email me anytime at scarlson@milforded.org or Mr. Piselli at dpiselli@milforded.org, or by phone at 203-783-3559.
Thanks so much for your continued understanding, communication, and support. We want, need, and value your involvement, partnership, and support in your child’s education!
