March 7 Family Weekly

March 7, 2025

March has arrived, and with it comes the promise of longer days, warmer weather, and the energy of spring just around the corner! As we move into this new month, we are excited for the opportunities ahead—both in and out of the classroom.

Congratulations: Mr. Kirkpatrick, PE teacher and Foran Basketball Coach,  was recently named 2025 SCC Coach of the year! Please join me in congratulating him.

Spring Conference Schedule: We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning!

  • Tuesday, March 18th from  1:05-3:05 p.m.

  • Wednesday, March 19th  5:30-8:00 p.m.

Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule. Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 18th and March 19th at 12:35pm.

Parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time. Spring conference sign up information is live on our school website until Monday, March 17th, at 12:00 p.m.

Conferences will be held in person unless a virtual meeting via Google Meet is requested directly from the teacher. For those preferring virtual sessions, please contact your child’s teacher after confirming your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler.

Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications.

Volunteers Needed for ESMS 5th Annual Career Day: We are looking for anyone who might be interested in sharing their career with our students. Our hope is that we might spark curiosity and interest within our young learners that might lead to a pursuit of a specific career pathway. Career day can have a significant impact on students by exposing them to a variety of career options and inspiring them to explore different pathways. We are in need of Career Day presenters and are hopeful you can help us out. If you are willing to share your career or know someone who might be interested in being a part of this awesome day for our kids. Please click here for more information. ESMS Career Day is Friday, May 16, at 1:00 pm.

8th Grade Families:

Yearbook Baby Photos: We would like to extend an invitation to you to include a picture of your child as a baby in our school yearbook.  This is a privilege available to only 8th grade families. Please complete this short form to upload a photo.  "Baby photos" can be from infancy through toddlerhood. The photo should be of good quality and size and the child must be fully clothed. Please submit all photos by FRIDAY MARCH 21st.  To purchase a yearbook please visit ybpay.com and use code: 6667425.

Athletics Open House: For any student who is interested in playing a sport next year at Foran High School, there will be an open house on Monday, May 5th at 6pm in Foran's gym for all 8th grade students. During this open house, you will have an opportunity to see all the sports that Foran offers, meet the head coaches associated with that sport, and meet the athletic director to help answer any lingering questions you may have. With many teams practicing throughout the summer in the offseason, it is highly recommended to attend this night to start getting involved in athletics if you're interested!

PTA Fundraiser: Chocolate bunnies and spring goodies can help the East Shore Middle School PTA fund many spring activities for the ESMS community. Purchase some delicious candy and the profits will help support events like the Game Show Assembly, Family Fun Night, and other end of the year activities! We appreciate your support of this scrumptious fundraiser! Please note: payment is not available online and must be sent into school. Students can give payments to homeroom teachers.
