Dear ESMS Families and Students,
It’s been a short but busy week here at ESMS and we are excited to host our Red Carpet Dance tonight! Students will have the opportunity to dance, enjoy pizza, and win raffle prizes. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort our teachers and students have put into making this a memorable event!
News from Mrs. Rubino and Mr. Singer:
We are excited for 8th grade students to experience a high school visit on Tuesday, February 25th to their designated home school. Students will have the opportunity to learn more department offerings, including electives, and talk to current students as well as teachers. This marks the first step in our high school transition process.
We are also excited to offer a Virtual Parent Information Session on Monday, March 3rd at 7:00 p.m., which provides an overview of the Program of Studies and Course Selection process. On a related note, during the week of March 3rd, Mrs.Rubino and Mr. Singer will be pushing into classes to deliver an overview of the high school transition to all eighth grade students. We’re here to help with any questions or concerns you may have!
Drama Club Ad Space: The ESMS Drama Club is proud to do a Broadway inspired program for our production of Beetlejuice Jr. Please consider showing support for the wonderful cast and crew by placing an ad congratulating them or shouting out a business you might have! Click here for all the details. We are looking forward to an amazing show!
PTA Fundraiser: Are you a gardener or know someone who is? Consider participating in our Spring fundraiser to help support the PTA!
MESSAGES FROM THE ESMS PTA:
Emergency Drills: Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school.
ESMS plans to conduct a fire drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to lswanson@milforded.org or jgenova@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
