Dear ESMS Families, 

Just a reminder next week is a four day week. While students are off on Tuesday, November 5, our staff will engage in professional learning. Also please join us Monday evening for our PTA meeting, 6:30 pm in the Media Center. 

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB: The Boys and Girls Club of Milford is offering a club at ESMS starting Thursday, November 7. The club will run after school until 4:00 PM. Students that have bus transportation to school are eligible for the late bus. All other interested students will need to be picked up. MILFORD TURKEY TROT WALK/RUN FOR CHARITY: The 4th Annual Milford Turkey Trot is happening on November 28th. This great event benefits some of our favorite charities. Click here for additional information from the Turkey Trot Team.

A MESSAGE FROM MEPW: East Shore is home to several Milford Eagles football players! Both our 12u and 13u teams will be competing this weekend for the Southern CT Pop Warner Championship! They are hoping to fill the stands with Eagles gear/colors (red, white and blue) - this is a great opportunity to show your MILFORD pride! The Championship games will be held at Law High School! Both games will be Sunday, November 3rd, our 13u team will be playing at 12:30 pm and our 12u team will be playing at 6:30pm.

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION: East Shore Middle School proudly presents “Take a Veteran to School Day.”  In honor of Veterans Day, ESMS students and staff would like to invite our family and friends who are veterans to visit our ESMS learning community on Friday, November 8 from 8:30-10:15 a.m.  Our veteran guests will attend a ceremony and then share their experiences of patriotic and military service with a small group of students. If you have a veteran family member who would like to attend please click here to access our Veterans Day flyer which can be completed and submitted to your student’s Social Studies teacher asap.

The PTA would like to thank our Veterans for both their service and the time they are taking to spend at ESMS with a welcome reception. Please consider helping  by signing up to drop a refreshment or two off at the start of the school day on 11/8. We sincerely appreciate your efforts to make this a lovely event for everyone.

A MESSAGE FROM THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT-  If your student attends high school football games, please remind them of the expected behavior: no noise makers or personal athletic balls are allowed in games. Security will confiscate any of these that they see at the gate. It is also important to note behavior at games. Students are there to support the Foran High School football team and/or band. Running around the stands and disruptive behavior will not be permitted at games to ensure safety.
