Dear ESMS Families,

Happy Friday! Thank you to the many families who joined us Tuesday evening at our Open House. What a wonderful evening all together. I hope to see you all again this Tuesday at our first PTA meeting, 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

Pediatric Cancer Month: On Monday, September 30th, to support Avery’s Little Army & Pediatric Cancer Awareness, we encourage all to wear yellow or gold and donate $1 to the cause. Click here to view the flyer.

ESMS DRAMA CLUB INFO-

Drama Club parent/guardian meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 1st at 6pm in the East Shore cafeteria. If your child signed up for Drama Club, we ask that at least one adult attend this important meeting. Please click here for more information.

ESMS PTA-

The PTA is excited to announce its first family restaurant night at Chipotle on Oct. 9. Take the night off from cooking and support the ESMS PTA. See the attached flyer for more details.

SCHOOL COUNSELOR NEWS: Grade 8 families, please click here for information regarding the high school fair.

CONFERENCES: We are pleased to announce our Fall 2024 Middle School Conference Schedule: Tuesday, October 15th 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. AND Wednesday, October 16th 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

*Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule. Therefore, students will be dismissed on October 15th and October 16th at 12:35 pm.

Parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time. All conferences will be in person unless a parent/guardian requests a Google Meet link directly from the teacher. Fall conference sign up information will be live on our school website from Friday, October 4th, at 9:00 a.m. through Monday, October 14th, at 12:00 p.m. If you prefer a virtual session, please contact the teacher to request a Google Meet link to conduct your conference virtually after you have confirmed your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler. We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning!

Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communication

A MESSAGE FROM THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT- If your student attends high school football games, please remind them of the expected behavior: no noise makers or personal athletic balls are allowed in games. Security will confiscate any of these that they see at the gate. It is also important to note behavior at games. Students are there to support the Foran High School football team and/or band. Running around the stands and disruptive behavior will not be permitted at games to ensure safety.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR- From October 14 through October 17, ESMS will be having a book fair. We will be open during conferences and during the school day! All purchases through the Book Fair benefit students at East Shore Middle School. Thanks for supporting our kids. Click here for more information.
