Happy Friday! Congratulations to sixth-grade Citywide Spelling Bee Champion of Milford, East Shore’s Jason Rosado! Jason won the bee by successfully spelling the word laureate. The ESMS runner-up was Daniel Moll. Congrats to both of these awesome kiddos!
We are very excited about Electrify Your Chorus, which is this evening at Parsons at 6:00 pm. Please join us, all are welcome. Just a reminder, we have early release days next week on Wednesday and Thursday due to conferences. All middle school students will be dismissed at 12:35 pm.
SCHOOL DANCE: A few of our awesome ESMS students are planning an all-school dance! The dance date is Friday, March 22, from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm in the ESMS Gym. This event is for only ESMS students and will cost $7.00 to attend. Cheese pizza and water will be available to all students at no additional cost. Students with food allergies are welcome to bring a snack option that they can safely consume. GRADE 8 SCHOOL COUNSELING NEWS: We’re excited to share that this afternoon marks the start of high school course selection! As a reminder, your child should register for classes from March 15th through March 22nd. Attached, you will find course registration instructions. Courses must be selected under your child’s powerschool account. Mrs. Rubino or Mr. Singer will work with your child between March 25th and April 12th to ensure they have selected appropriate classes and met credit requirements. DRAMA CLUB: The ESMS Drama Club is proud to return to the stage for their performance of Shrek The Musical, Jr. on April 20th at 6:00 pm at the Joseph A. Foran Auditorium. WORKFORCE PROGRAM - NOW open to grades 6, 7, and 8 students: We are excited to partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Milford to offer ESMS students the opportunity to participate in a Workforce Program to provide students with various learning opportunities after school hours at ESMS. Please click here to learn more about this great program and register your child! As the information sheet mentions, participation will be capped at 30 students on a first-come, first-serve basis. A waiting list will be created if needed. All communication should be made through the Boys & Girls Club of Milford.
What better way to get involved and spend time at ESMS with our awesome kiddos than Career day? ESMS 4th Annual Career Day is happening and we still need your help! We are looking for anyone interested in sharing their career with our students. Our hope is that we might spark curiosity and interest within our young learners that might lead to a pursuit of a specific career pathway. Career day can significantly impact students by exposing them to various career options and inspiring them to explore different pathways.
