Happy Friday! Students engaged in Wingman yesterday and enjoyed problem-solving, team-building, and peer collaboration. This past Wednesday, staff engaged in professional learning all afternoon, focused on High-Quality Instruction (HQI).
Thank You for Generous Donations to the Food Drive: A heartfelt thank you to all the families who generously contributed to our recent food drive. Your donations will significantly impact the lives of those in our community who are in need. It's heartwarming to see our school community come together to support one another.
Short Week Ahead for Thanksgiving Recess: As we look ahead, please be reminded that the following week is a short week due to the Thanksgiving recess. The school will early release on Wednesday, November 22, at 12:45 pm. We hope this break allows you and your family to rest, relax, and enjoy quality time together.
PARENT MEETING FOR SKI CLUB: Is your child interested in joining the Ski Club this winter (Mt. Southington)? Milford Turkey Trot: ESMS will be participating in the Milford Turkey Trot this year. If you are willing to get up early on Thanksgiving, we promise you a good time, including live music from the Rum Runners! This fun run benefits our PTA, The Purple Pantry boxes (bring your non-perishables to the race), and The Cure Starts Now, (which supports pediatric brain cancer research). Register here! If you can’t make it, sign up to do the race virtually and get the cool race shirt, or click the green button to donate. Please spread the word to your family and friends! Prices go up on 11/3. The Turkey Trot is seeking sponsors so that 100% of the race entry fees and donations can go to local charities. Kindergarten Registration for 2024-2025: Greetings, MPS Families! We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opened on Monday, November 13, 2023. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org. You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.” Children born on or before September 1, 2019 are eligible to register for Kindergarten. If your child is not age eligible (born September 2, 2019 through December 31, 2019), please use the online registration form to request a waiver. Any current MPS Preschool or Ready To Learn (RTL) students will need to complete an online registration form. If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office of your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.” We are excited for your children to join us! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring.
