Dear ESMS Families,

Thank you to all those who attended our ESMS Open House this past Monday. What a phenomenal night and we are grateful for your continued support. Looking forward to seeing you again at Conferences on October 18 or 19. Just a reminder there is no school on Monday, September 25 (Yom Kippur).

THERE’S STILL TIME LEFT TO PARTICIPATE- Meadow Farms Fundraiser: We are right in the middle of our online-only fundraiser running through October 2, 2023. You still have time to help out ESMS and your students!!! Friends and family have the opportunity to order AMAZING gifts, YUMMY goodies, BEAUTIFUL home decor items, and MORE! Online fundraising makes it so easy to remotely share and raise money for ESMS! Thank you all who have participated so far. Great job supporting ESMS! LAST WEEK -- Hunger Action Month Fundraiser: The ESMS PTA, in association with Purple Pantry Boxes, will be collecting shelf-stable foods for the month of September. Please click here to view the Hunger Action Month flyer with more information.

Suicide Prevention Awareness Day: On Thursday 9/28/23, ESMS will be raising awareness for suicide prevention! Students and staff are invited to wear purple or teal! We will also be collecting $1 donations for the American Suicide Prevention Foundation! Click here to see the flyer.

Girls Counseling Group: Community Resource: Coastal Connecticut Counseling is offering a girls counseling group called "I Just Can't: A Girl's Guide to Surviving It All". Dream Big!: Your participation is greatly appreciated as Milford Public Schools work to gain valuable insight from a Student and Business Leader panel regarding school experiences, future workforce expectations, and what that means for our entire community. Middle School Conferences: Greetings, ESMS Families! We are pleased to announce our Fall 2023 Middle School Conference Schedule: Wednesday, October 18th, 5:30-8:00 p.m. & Thursday, October 19th, 1:05-3:05 p.m. Sign-ups will not be live until October 6th. Click here for more information.

Veterans Day Celebration: East Shore Middle School proudly presents “Take a Veteran to School Day.” In honor of Veterans Day, ESMS students and staff would like to invite our family and friends who are veterans to visit our ESMS learning community on Friday, November 10 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. Our veteran guests will attend a ceremony and then share their experiences of patriotic and military service with a small group of students. If you have a veteran family member who would like to attend please click here to access our Veterans Day flyer which can be completed and submitted to your student’s Social Studies teacher by Tuesday, November 1.
