May 19 Family Weekly

May 19, 2023

Dear ESMS Families,

Happy Friday!

Today was INCREDIBLE. We had over 45 professionals from the community with us all afternoon. Students pre-selected who they wanted to visit and had an opportunity to be a part of three learning experiences. Our hope is that this sparks some curiosity or interest in future career exploration for our students. Ask your kiddo about their afternoon! Thank you to all of our ESMS families who spent the afternoon here with us and helped make Career Day such a success!

We rolled out the red carpet for our rising grade 6 students yesterday as they visited ESMS. Students participated in a grade-level gathering, tours, various activities, classroom visits, and more. Students had so much fun and we can’t wait to officially welcome them this fall. Grade 6 tours will tentatively happen Wednesday, August 23rd.

Thank you to all of our families who came out to support our incredible band Tuesday night. This was yet another wonderful evening of pure enjoyment as we listened to our students perform for us. Their hard work and dedication have certainly paid off! Thank you to our families who push and remind students to practice at home daily.

MULTICULTURAL NIGHT AT JONATHAN LAW- All members of the MPS learning community are invited to attend the first annual Multicultural Night at Jonathan Law on 5/26 from 6-8 PM. The event is free to attend. There will be multicultural presentations, lessons, games and food, all showcasing the wonderful diversity we have at Law and in the greater Milford community. Click here to see the flyer. We believe this event will be especially resonant and educational for our younger learners so we hope to encourage them to stop by.

One of the best ways to stay connected and see what is happening in the classroom is through Twitter, Insta or FB. We try our best to capture as much of our kiddos as we can throughout the day.
