Dear ESMS Families,
What a great week at ESMS and we are happy that we dodged another snow storm. Ask your kiddos about Wingman and how much fun they had on Thursday morning! This month the 6th graders participated in a game called Minefield where they used their communication skills to get their partner through an area of small obstacles while blindfolded. The 7th graders participated in a fan favorite called Tin Can Pass. The students pass a large tin can around a circle with their feet with different degrees of difficulty added on as the game progresses. Lastly, the 8th graders participated in an activity called 52 Card Pick Up. This game is a “Challenge by Choice” activity where students try to push themselves out of their comfort zone and into their Stretch and Growth zone. They also learn about the importance of getting themselves out of their comfort zone. The energy was high and the students had a blast!
Just a reminder spring conferences are right around the corner and sign ups opened on Monday, February 27th. Please click here for more information.
