Band News:

• The 4th grade band has started to learn their first 5 notes!

They should be able to play "Hot Cross Buns,” and several other simple songs for you at home.

• The 5th grade band is learning holiday songs and hopes to have a video for parents.

 

Thanks For Giving News: 

Here is a note of thanks from the Thanks for Giving Annual Food Collection Committee. You can see how much our school's participation means to the success of the drive and the major impact that it will have on Milford families.

 Thank you to all  for your support and participation in this year's event. This project would not be successful without the support and generosity of the Milford community, especially the school system. This year's event collected 331 turkeys, will feed over 300 Milford families and received over $4000.00 in donations that will be used to provide food to those in need. This year, more than ever, we relied on the school system for support and you all responded with donations that exceeded our grandest expectations. Without a doubt we could not have met our goals without your support and generosity. Clearly Milford is a small city with a big heart. Once again thank you. My best to each and everyone of you for a happy and healthy holiday season and new year. 

 Once again, MPS stepped up! Thank you Calf Pen!

Calf Pen Picture Retake - Picture retake day is 

Wednesday, December 15th.

 

Pajama Day  - Wednesday, November 24th. Students should wear their pajamas or comfy clothes.  Remember that students will still be going out for recess, so shoes should be worn.

Calf Pen Meadow PTA News: 

Barnes & Noble Holiday Bookfair - The CPM PTA will be hosting a in-person holiday shopping event at the Milford Barnes & Noble on Thursday, December 2 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Stop by for some holiday shopping! Proceeds from each purchase will benefit the CPM PTA. We will be having a raffle and there will be an opportunity to shop CPM teacher’s wish lists for books for your child’s classroom. Check out the flyer for more details.

CPM Winter Decorations Sale - Last day to order is Monday, November 22nd! The CPM PTA is offering wreaths, planters, and log boxes from Filanowski’s. The order form can be found here: https://forms.gle/zyszUtwkzrJLVi1b8. 

CPM Spirit Wear Update - Due to supply chain issues, our CPM spirit wear order has been delayed. We will keep you updated when we receive a delivery date. Thank you for your patience!

CPM Virtual Holiday Fair - The 2021 Virtual Holiday Fair is open! Our online shop can be found here: https://myholidayshop.org/school/833521. It will run until November 30th and provides a very easy way for kids to select their own gifts for friends and family members while also supporting the PTA. GotSneakers? Fundraiser - The CPM PTA is running a sneaker donation fundraiser with GotSneakers?. We are collecting gently worn, used, or new sneakers to be recycled and proceeds from each donation goes to the CPM PTA. Collect as many pairs as you can and send them into CPM. We ask that you bag up all the sneakers you plan on donating. Our fundraiser will run until December 17th. Please see the flyer for more info. Look at the sneakers we have collected so far!!!  Keep them coming!

 

Milford Turkey Trot - The first annual Milford Turkey Trot will be held on Thursday, November 25th at 9:00am and there are 1, 2, or 3+ mile run/walk options. Participants have the choice to do a virtual or in-person walk/run. All proceeds will benefit the CPM PTA to help support our student and staff initiatives for the school year. If you're interested in participating, please register at http://www.milfordturkeytrot.com. Note, this is not a CPM PTA sponsored event.
