Drill: Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we help keep students and staff safe during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. This year, Milford Public Schools will incorporate COVID-19 health and safety practices during these drills. During an actual emergency, however, evacuation and safety are the school district's first priorities and social distancing only will be enforced once students and staff are in a safe location.
Next week Calf Pen Meadow School will be conducting a lockdown drill. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by
the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders. Students engaged in distance learning for the day of the drill will not participate in the drill, but live meet schedules may be adjusted for this day.
Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership with keeping our schools safe!
Milford Turkey Trot - The first annual Milford Turkey Trot will be held on Thursday, November 25th at 9:00am and there are 1, 2, or 3+ mile run/walk options. Participants have the choice to do a virtual or in-person walk/run. All proceeds will benefit the CPM PTA to help support our student and staff initiatives for the school year. CPM PTA Pumpkin Decorating Night Contest - The CPM PTA is excited to announce the winners from our Pumpkin Decorating Night Contest! After receiving the votes from the classrooms, the 3 winners are: Steven Firimonte, Macie Pasacreta, and Jade Kelly. The winners each received a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card. We loved seeing the wonderful creativity of our CPM students with their pumpkin submissions. A big thank you to all of the participants!
Barnes & Noble Holiday Book fair - Save the date for CPM’s holiday book fair with Barnes & Noble! We will be hosting an in-person holiday shopping event for CPM families and staff on Thursday, December 2 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. More details to come!
CPM Virtual Holiday Fair - The 2021 Virtual Holiday Fair is open! Click on this link for more details: Holiday Fair 2021.docx. It will run until November 30th and provides a very easy way for kids to select their own gifts for friends and family members while also supporting the PTA.
CPM Winter Decorations Sale - CPM PTA is selling winter decorations for the holiday! We will be offering wreaths, planters, and log boxes from Filanowski’s. GotSneakers? Fundraiser - The CPM PTA is running a sneaker donation fundraiser with GotSneakers?. We are collecting gently worn, used, or new sneakers to be recycled. Collect as many pairs as you can and send them into CPM. We ask that you bag up all the sneakers you plan on donating. There will be a collection box in the main lobby. Our fundraiser will run from October 25th to December 17th. Please see the flyer for more info.
