What a wonderful start we had to the school year! We were so excited to welcome our kiddos back to the meadow and meet our kindergarten families! I was so happy to see all students learning and building relationships as classroom communities.
Teaching and Learning Hub: This week the Teaching and Learning Department shared with the Milford Public Schools Teaching and Learning Community Hub, an online space for our community to access curricular materials and resources as well as a virtual space to access additional information to support our home school partnership. Attendance:If your child is absent from learning, you must log in and report the absence that day through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Arrival Dismissal reminders - We are off to a great start! Reminder - if you are dropping your student off in the drop off loop, please do not block any of our neighbors driveways or the intersection of Welch’s Point Road and Buckingham Avenue. When getting into the drop off line, please go to the end of the line. We may not get your number in time for calling students out.

Drills - Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we help keep students and staff safe during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. This year, Milford Public Schools will incorporate COVID-19 health and safety practices during these drills. During an actual emergency, however, evacuation and safety are the school district's first priorities and social distancing only will be enforced once students and staff are in a safe location.
Next week Calf Pen Meadow School will be conducting a fire drill. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by
the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders. Students engaged in distance learning for the day of the drill will not participate in the drill, but live meet schedules may be adjusted for this day.
Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership with keeping our schools safe.

CPM Spirit Wear - Fall spirit offering wear is here! We’ll be shirts and hoodies with an updated CPM logo as well as other items this fall. Orders must be placed by Friday, September 24th to CPMSpiritwear@gmail.com. See the flyer for more details.
PTA September Meeting - Save the Date! Our first PTA meeting of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, September 14 at 6:30PM. This first meeting will be outdoors on the school blacktop (weather permitting). We can’t wait to see you in person!
