Kickoff to kindergarten - For our incoming Kindergarten families who are fully registered or currently in a MPS preschool program, be on the lookout for an email on our Kickoff to Kindergarten school visits in May.  If your child is eligible for Kindergarten but you have not yet registered, please click the link  to register and be included in this Kickoff to Kindergarten experience.

Drill Update:  Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. 

Earlier this week, Calf Pen Meadow School  conducted a lockdown drill. This was only a drill and was in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, in partnership with our local first responders.  I am pleased to report that the drill was a success. It was efficient and timely.  If you have any feedback please reach out to jwhitaker@milforded.org.    I want to thank our students and staff for their interest and participation in making our schools a safer place for learning.  


5th Grade Transition to Middle School Information:

Parent Input: If you are interested in sharing any information for our CPM placement team for next year’s class placement for your student, please fill out the google form  Family Input 2024-2025.  The form closes for responses on May 15.

Author Visit:  On May 17th, Milford author Emily Franke will be visiting CPM.  Her book, The Ladybug Who Lived on a Four Leaf Clover, is about a little girl named Emily who loses her grandmother, but realizes she comes back to visit her as a magical ladybug! Sheila, the ladybug, reminds Emily that grandma is always with her!   Use this link to pre-order a signed copy of the book for your student.  

            Congratulations on all of our CPM artists for their pieces in the district art show!!!

   Thank you Ms. Pala for an amazing Career Day!!  It was so much fun and we learned a lot!!

  • Monday, May 20 - East Shore Middle School Virtual Transition Event 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm.  Attached is the Incoming ESMS Grade 6 Save the Date Family Orientation and Information letter for our new families.
