Spring Conferences:

We are pleased to announce our Spring 2023 Elementary Conference Schedule: 

  • Wednesday, March 29th 5:30-8:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, March 30th1:45-3:45 p.m.

  • Friday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m.

*Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule.  Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 29th, March 30th, and March 31st at 1:15pm. 

Parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time.   All conferences will be in person unless a  parent/guardian requests a Google Meet link directly from the teacher.  Spring conference sign up  information will be live on our school website here from  February 27 through March 27 at 12:00 p.m.  If you prefer a  virtual session, please contact the teacher to request a Google Meet link to conduct your conference virtually after you have confirmed your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler.  We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning! Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications.

News from the MEDIA CENTER

Local author and illustrator Heather Dailey Mezzacappa visited the school library this week to read her book The Tale of the Fox and the Cricket with students.  Then she did a Q&A session and the students brainstormed their own stories about friendship!

All grades did a "book tasting" activity in the media center, following a read aloud of Nutmeg Award nominee Salma the Syrian Chef by Danny Ramadan.  Here is the recipe from the book:

Electrify Your Symphony:

Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Perform with Milford Students!

Milford Public Schools is excited to host our first ever Electrify Your Strings Concert featuring Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  This two day event for students will culminate in a concert at Parsons Auditorium on Friday, March 10 at 7:00.  Almost 300 string students in grades 5-12 will perform alongside Mark Wood and every attendee will have the opportunity to attend the meet and greet with Mark immediately following the concert.  Tickets can be purchased here for $14.  Tickets at the door will be $20.  Doors will open at 6:30PM and the event will start promptly at 7:00.  We hope to see you there!

Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open!

Greetings, MPS Families!

We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024  school year will take place during February and March.   If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023.  You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services.  School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.

Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.  

Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.

If you need assistance with the registration portal,  please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.” 

We are excited for your children to come to our schools!  Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

SAVE THE DATE!!!!   Faculty vs. 5th grade Basketball Game  

Who will be triumphant? Last year, the 5th graders squeaked by with a win but the faculty has a long history of victory in this historic rivalry.

All families are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on your favorite teachers or schoolmates. Wear your CPM gear and bring all of your school spirit!  The game will be played at the Foran Gymnasium on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:30 pm. Sign ups for the 5th grade basketball players and 4th grade free throw contest will be circulated next week.

CPM School Art Show - It’s back and returning this spring!  Mark your calendars. It will be on Friday, May 19th from 5 - 7 pm.  Stay tuned for more details!
