Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open!

Greetings, MPS Families! We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024  school year will take place during February and March.   If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023.  You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services.  School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.” Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.   Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet. If you need assistance with the registration portal,  please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”  We are excited for your children to come to our schools!  Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. SAVE THE DATE!!!!   Faculty vs. 5th grade Basketball Game  

Who will be triumphant? Last year, the 5th graders squeaked by with a win but the faculty has a long history of victory in this historic rivalry.

All families are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on your favorite teachers or schoolmates. Wear your CPM gear and bring all of your school spirit!  The game will be played at the Foran Gymnasium on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:30 pm. Sign ups for the 5th grade basketball players and 4th grade free throw contest will be circulated next week.

5th Grade PTA Fundraising Event:

Calf Pen Parents 80’s Party!   Mix and mingle with other Calf Pen Parents and join our Fifth Grade Send Off Committee for an 80’s themed Sunday Funday-Fundraiser on March 5th from 3:00-6:30 at Orange Ale House. This is a school-wide event and families of all grades are welcome. Food included, Cash Bar, Grown-ups only! 80’s attire STRONGLY encouraged!

The PTA Needs YOU!

 - We will have a wonderful new board next year and are actively seeking officers. If you are curious about a board position and what it entails, please reach out to Melissa Lawless (codamelis@aol.com) or Amy Tarini (atarini@milforded.org)

- We still need to clear out a storage unit at Hacienda Storage. If anyone has a little time, some brawn, and potentially a large vehicle, please reach out to Traci Gallagher (ptatraci@gmail.com)

- The PTA owns a PA system and our in-house D(ad)J, Kevin Lawless, would like to train some people so that they can be up to speed for future events. He will be spinning tunes at the Fundraiser at Orange Ale House on 3/5. If you are interested in being part of the next generation of CPM DJ’s, email him at kevlawless@aol.com.

March 29 - 31- Spring Conferences - Our conference schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, March 29th 5:30-8:00 p.m.

• Thursday, March 30th1:45-3:45 p.m.

• Friday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m.

*Students will be dismissed at 1:15 on conference days.
