Please join the South Central Child Advocacy Center for a FREE virtual Internet Safety Training for parents. Learn about the risks associated with Internet access for children and about how YOU can help keep children safe online. This event will take place via Zoom at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 25th, 2024.

Milford Rotary Shred Event
When: Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 9:00am
Where: The Spectrum Building
440 New Haven Avenue, Milford CT
What: Dispose of your sensitive documents and electronic equipment securely.
How: Paper goods will be destroyed on-site. Electronics will be transported to a specialized facility for safe destruction on the same day.
Why: All proceeds from this fundraiser will go back into our community.
Convenience: Enjoy our convenient drive-thru service. Just pop your trunk, and we'll handle the rest. If you'd like, you can even reclaim your containers afterward.
Pricing:
$5 for a bag of paper
$10 for a banker's box
$20 per electronic item (we'll accommodate bulk quantities of small items)

HEALTHY KIDS DAY APRIL 20, 2024 10AM-1PM
The Woodruff Family YMCA is hosting their annual Healthy Kids Day® This free, open to the public, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season. We’ll have special demonstrations and activities.

TIME: 10am-1pm

At our event, we are collecting Child-Friendly Hygiene Products such as children’s shampoo/conditioner, diapers/wipes/creams, baby soap/lotions, child toothbrushes/paste, child safe sunscreen, band-aids, and more for those in local shelters.

Children's Poster Contest!
Earth Day 2024 will be celebrated at the Milford Public Library and Fowler Field and Pavilion from 10am to 3pm on Saturday April 20. In addition to various activities for families and kids, the Milford Energy Advisory Board will sponsor a poster contest. Entries will be in three age categories: 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18. There will be a prize of $50 for the best poster in each age category with an additional $25 for “Best in Show." Click here for rules.

Come to our Touch-a-Truck event on April 20, 2024. Trucks will be parked in the Discovery Magnet School parking lot. We will have a SWAT vehicle, fire truck, electric cars, an electric bus and many others. Photo ops and swag bags available. Have a look at the cars & trucks and visit the Discovery Science Center.
