ADAM’S HOUSE 

Grief Support  for Connecticut's Children

The mission of The Adam Wysota Foundation is to offer grief education and peer support in a home-like setting called Adam’s House. We support children struggling with any type of loss- parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt/uncle or friend. 

All programs are offered at NO-COST to participating families.

The Milford Public Library offers passes to a wide variety of local museums. These passes allow free or discounted admission depending on the museum. 

First check the MPL’s site for details. Then visit the attraction for their information.

Sunday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Leamy Hall at the United States Coast Guard Academy, the United States Coast Guard Band presents its annual holiday concert!

 Join us for a festive and heart-warming concert of seasonal favorites under the baton of Chief Warrant Officer Jeffrey Spenner, who also leads a pre-concert talk beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mystic Seaport’s Community Carol Sing   FREE!

The 76th Annual Community Carol Sing will be held on

Sunday, December 17, 2023. 

Mystic Seaport  visitors will be admitted free of charge on this day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

As in the past, donations of non-perishable food will be collected as well as monetary donations and are to be accepted at the North Gate and the South Gate. The donated food and contributions will be given to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

The Mystic Seaport Carolers will perform a holiday concert in the Greenmanville Church at 2 p.m

The Carol Sing will commence on the deck of the Thompson Exhibition Building and McGraw Quadrangle at 3 p.m. led by Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at the University of Connecticut, Jamie Spillane, and backed by The Mystic Seaport Museum Carolers, and a brass quartet.

Visit With Santa at The Shore Line Trolley Museum

November 24-December 23 / The Shore Line Trolley Museum, East Haven

Take a ride to visit Santa on his special trolley car which he’s set up for social distancing.  Wave “Hi” and grab your holiday photos!  Santa’s elves will be standing by to make sure every child gets their free gift. Walk through the decorated trolley barns and take a ride on a real antique trolley car.   Get passes at the Milford Public Library's site!

School Day Off Winter Fun

For grades 1-4

Programs held during winter break on December, 27th, 28th, & 29th.

Enjoy a day off from school filled with outdoor exploration, experiments, crafts, games and more! Activities will include learning about the beach, marsh, and woodland with our Teacher-Naturalists, animal meet-and-greets, and discovering how the world around us works.

Please bring a peanut-free lunch and snack. Dress for cold weather and bring a change of clothes and shoes. Shoes are subject to getting wet, snowy, and muddy.

Group is limited to 12 participants. Minimum of 6 participants for the program to run.

This is a drop-off program. Pre-registration required.

Full Day (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.): Members $55, Non-members $65.

Half Day (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.): Members $30, Non-members $35.
