Hello Bulldog Families,
We certainly hope your week was more settled than our more recent weather. Phew! None-the-less we had a very PAWmazing week here at school. Even though it was a shorter week we still had lots of fun celebrating Twin Day, making our kindness chain, and K-2 worked with a district literacy consultant in writing! We hope your week was just as pawmazing. Thanks always for your support! Take a look below at important information for the week(s) ahead.

Read Across America - Every year, the month of March is National Reading Month. The start of this is initiated with ‘Read Across America Day’ on March 2. Many schools choose to engage in activities throughout the week which promote books as windows offering views of the world or mirrors where we allow children to see themselves within their text. Throughout the school year, Milford Public Schools work to help students develop a love of reading and an appreciation for where the pages of a book can take you. We look forward to sharing our love of reading with you through our READ ACROSS MATHEWSON Virtual Videos, which students will see on March 2nd. We will share with families in our PAWprints!
Spring Conferences -
We are pleased to announce our Spring 2022 Elementary School Virtual Conference Schedule:
Wednesday, March 30th 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m.
Friday, April 1st 1:45-3:45 p.m.
*Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule. Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 30th, March 31st and April 1st at 1:15pm.
Our spring conferences will be held virtually and parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time. We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning! Spring conference sign up information will be live on our school website from February 28 at 9:00 a.m. through March 25 at 12:00 pm . Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications.
Black History month - Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups. Black History Month begins on February 1. Milford Public Schools continues our commitment to celebrating diversity and the unique gifts and experiences of our Milford Public Schools students, families and staff that make our community so special. Our ongoing goal is to provide opportunities for all learners to see themselves within our curriculum. COVID Vaccine upload - Parents may voluntarily provide a copy of their child’s COVID immunization card now by uploading it using our secure form here. This information will only be accessible by school nurses and school administration.
Reminder: Voluntary COVID Testing for Students: In partnership with Progressive Diagnostics students (regardless of vaccination status) within our school will be eligible for weekly COVID testing. More information can be found here

Kindergarten Registration Information and Video!
We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will take place during February and March. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 22, 2022. You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”
Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2022, in order to register for Kindergarten.
Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.
If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”
We are excited for your children to come to our schools! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

Mrs. Wetmore, our Library Media Specialist, has created a new Media Center webpage. On it, you will find links to many of the students' favorite websites for coding, virtual field trips, book awards, and more! You can also check it out periodically for book recommendations for K-2, 3-5, and even adults. Enjoy and don't hesitate to reach out to her with any questions!
Staff Dress Down Days- Staff donates money yearly in order to “dress down” on Fridays throughout the year. The money goes to help support families, staff and community causes where we want to express care. Sometimes we add an extra day or two if we want to earn a little more to donate. So if you see us in our jeans you know it is to support a great cause! GO BULLDOGS!
