Sparkler is a free mobile app ( available in English, Spanish, and Chinese) sponsored by the state Office of Early Childhood Education. It is available to all Connecticut families with children ages 0-5.
Sparkler offers a library of approximately two thousand off-screen play activities that support children's healthy growth and development. Each activity focuses on supporting development in the areas of heart, mind, body, or words.
Additionally Sparkler assists families with:
Know: Understand your child’s development with the mobile Ages and Stages Questionnaire
Play: Spark learning with fun, off-screen activities to play together and tips for parents
Grow: Follow your child’s progress in your Sparkler scrapbook
Connect: Get tips and answers from experts at 211 child development or your child’s school or provider.
